Welcome to merged blog site for Own It and The Independent Filmmaker's Law & Business Guide

independentfilmmakercover.gif This blog is an extension of two separate blogs I tried to maintain for the Independent Filmmaker's Law & Business Guide and Own It. With the Second Edition of The Independent Filmmaker's Law & Business Guide just about to be released, I thought it would be good to combine the two blogs in one.

 In the months since my last blog, I have had the opportunity to join film clients at Sundance, lecture on intellectual property throuColtoncover 2.jpgghout China and Hong Kong, and explore issues of privacy and data security for companies and individuals struggling to maintain their assets at a time when the economy is creating many challenges and hardships.
